Time flies, it’s another fully loaded weekend welcoming the month of August with a gift basket for fun lovers as the temperatures are warming up for summer.

Here is what to expect on the entertainment scene:

Mukanya, Mathias Mhere & Sulu Clash Blast UK
Zim music fans in the United Kingdom will have another stimulating entertainment session this Sunday as Chimurenga guru Thomas Mapfumo performs live at Athena Events Venue, Leicester. “Mukanya” will clash with gospel sensation Mathias Mhere and dendera kingpin Suluman Chimbetu in what promises to be a thriller in honour of Mapfumo’s longtime promoter Linus William Kadzare in Leicester from 4pm till 1am.

Winky D, Freeman Storm SA

International dancehall sensation Winky D will this weekend mesmerise fans across the Limpopo with two gigs dubbed “Most Wanted” alongside fellow artist Freeman “HKD Boss”. Tonight the duo will be hosted by Badman and Mbare Boys at Kempton Park Civic Centre in Pretoria from 10pm. General tickets will cost R350 at the gate while VIPs will fork out R700.

On Sunday Winky and Freeman will illuminate D-Vybz’s birthday bash with live performances at Struben ST PTA in Pretoria. Admission R350 and R650 for VIP.

Oxman Hunts @Chiefs Village Lounge

If you believe you are a competent eater, an opportunity has arisen to prove yourself in Zimbabwe’s City of Kings and Queens this Saturday as Zimbabwe’s strongest man Arnold “Oxman” Zikhali descends on Chiefs Village Lounge where he is open to an eating challenge. The fiesta dubbed “Eat all you can” is set to turn Old Amazulu Sports Club into a hive of activity as devourers are eagerly await to prove their prowess over the Oxman. It is a contest not to be missed if you are in Bulawayo.

Jah Prayzah, Enzo Ishall, Saint Floew @Beach

This Saturday all roads lead to Mount Hampden Beach as contemporary singer Jah Prayzah, dancehall chanter Enzo Ishall and Hip hop singer Saint Floew mix and mingle with their multitude of fans at a show dubbed “Sunset on the beach” in Mount Hampden, Harare. General access: $10, Kids: $5 and VIP: $35 and $50.

SaintFloew Homecoming Party

Hip Hop lovers in Harare, Club Zeus formerly Club Connect is the place to be this Saturday as it hosts the SaintFloew homecoming party. The show will also be graced by talented songbird Annita Jackson from 7pm till late.

Machesos In Bindura

As has become the norm, it will be another family affair as sungura ace Alick “Baba Shero” Macheso is set to perform at Coach House in Bindura tonight alongside his sons Esau and Tatenda from 8pm till late. Admission: $5.

Progress @Makuluwani Gardens

Free-spirited Progress Chipfumo will tonight light up Makuluwani Gardens located at Harare’s White House with his Sounds of the Motherland Band. Amadhuve Sasha, Lady Storm and DJ Soul Train will add to the mix.

Killer T At Zindoga Shops

Dancehall chanter Killer T will serenade fans tonight at Madhadha Pub and Grill Zindoga shops. Admission: $5

Pagomba Hosts Master KG, Baba Harare & Holy Ten

Tonight Beitbridge will be a hive of activity as jiti supremo Baba Harare pits hip hop star Holy Ten and South Africa’s finest musician, 

Master KG at Pagomba. This fusion of three music genres is likely to be talk of the border town longer after the performance. Admission: $10, VIP $20.

Tamy Moyo Comes To Town
Queen of amapiano, Tamy Moyo descends on the capital this Saturday with an expected performance at Eclipse Pub and Grill supported by Storm, Blaze and Craft Boi.

Hello Summer With Andy Muridzo & Hwinza

Summer is around the corner and Platinum miners are in for a treat this Saturday as contemporary artist Andy Muridzo takes his performance to Selous. Dancehall singer Hwinza will add to the mix at Pamusha Restaurant and Bar. Admission: $5 and $10.

Bands Vs DJs

Music and food lovers are in for a super treat this Saturday as Bands (Selmor Mtukudzi, Voltz Jt, Trevor Dongo,Uncle Epatan & Van Choga) and DJs (DJ Elroy, Etherton B, Merciless and many other DJs) clash the  “Braai Out” at Hunyani Hills Lakeside, Lake Chivero from 12pm till late. Admission: $5, Kids: $2

Romeo Gasa Family Show at Las Vegas
Sungura singer Romeo Gasa  and the Extra Valembe Band host a family show at Club Las Vegas in Southerton dubbed “Light Up Spring” this Sunday from 2pm. He will be supported by Jah Lemmy and Guruve Arts Ensemble.

Mannex Motsi @Bar Rouge

Reggae lovers are in for a conscious blast tonight as Mannex Motsi serenades fans with his Mofamilee Band from 8pm. Admission cover charge.

Alexio Kawara Warms Up Milton Park
Urban Grooves sensation Alexio Kawara will tonight warm up the  Zimbabwe German Society in Milton Park. Admission: $15

Mbeu @Sherwood Golf Club

Afro-fusion singer Ashton Mbeu Nyahora and the Mhodzi Tribe Band perform tonight at Sherwood Golf Club from 7pm till late. Admission: $5/car.

Mbira Night

Mbira lovers chill at Jejeje Legends Bar at Kuwadzana 2 Shops tonight as Howard and Dzanambira Crew take fans down memory lane alongside raunchy dancer Beverly Sibanda who will be performing from 7pm till late.

Tomorrow, Howard and The Band perform live at Gwenyambira Bar in Mufakose from 5pm till late.
