It’s Friday, which marks the first day of December 2023 officially endorsing and heightening the mood of the festive season which is now upon us. Our ever energetic artists are already in the right gear to dish out thrilling entertainment acts throughout the season. A lot of gigs are lined up for merrymakers across the country this weekend. Let us take time out and enjoy ourselves..

Barnyard Sundays

Mbare-based entertainment supremos, the Chillspot Family will be at their best as they serenade fans and followers this Sunday at Club Zeus. Tell a friend to bring a friend and witness what they have to offer during their weekend sundowner.

Music Braai Fest

Booze and braai lovers have a special treat lined up for them this Saturday at Longcheng Adult Park where contemporary music superstar Jah Prayzah will make a special appearance featuring  Baba Harare, Enzo Ishall, the Chillspot Family, Juntal, Pumacol and Ras Lalo. There will be ‘$1 Deals’ on alcohol and cocktails. Revellers are promised a coterie of rides and thrills including go-karts, quad bikes, putt putt, pirate ship and many more. Entry: $10 for early birds while VIPs part with $20.

Dino Mudondo, Willom Tight “Reunion”

There will be fireworks at Pakare Paye Arts Centre tomorrow as reggae-kwasa sensation Dino Mudondo and talented Afro-centric soul artist Willom Tight reunite through the launch of an album dubbed “Ndaza Yeminzwa”. They will be backed by the Kuno Fire Records Live Band starting at 8pm. Admission: $5.

Sungura Weekend

Revelers are in for a treat tonight at Chipawa Gardens, KwaMasaiti in Marondera where sungura virtuoso Alick Macheso clashes with talented fellow musician Somandla “Soma” Ndebele on stage for a “Sungura Special” from 8pm. This is a gig not to be missed. 

On Saturday Baba Sharo clashes with yet another renowned sungura artist, Sugar Sugar and the Samaita Express for a “Sungura Night” at Gatsi Sports Bar , Forit Shops in Chegutu.

Finally on Sunday Macheso reunites with Soma at Zebra Village in Mbare for a Family Show that closes down the sungura weekend. All gigs have an entry fee of $5.

Festive Season Festival At Mutangaz Hideout


Tomorrow all roads lead to Ruwa for an epic encounter where trending dancehall chanter Nutty O clashes with Freeman HKD Boss and Saintfloew, a gig tipped to leave fans itching for more when the curtain closes down. Nutty O will be showcasing songs on his latest and trending mixtape dubbed “Cornerstone”.  DJs Olla 7,   Stavo and Merciless Zim will be doing what they know best at the turntables. Admission: Cover charge.

Dewa @ Longcheng

Peter Moyo will tonight rock Bar Rouge tonight where he has an outreach for his latest album “Mwana waMambo”. Admission cover charge.

Live In The Garden

Jazz sensation Victor Kunonga will tomorrow headline the “Live In The Garden” concert to be held at 6 Princess Margaret Road in Marlborough, Harare alongside award-winning guitarist Zivanai Masango (USA), mbira virtuoso Tete Joyce Warikandwa and Zim reggae artist Frederick Bwanali. Gates open at 3pm while performances start at 6pm.  Advance tickets $10 and $15 at the gate.

Feli Nandi @ Room 213

Tomorrow songstress and fashionista Feli Nandi will be performing live at Room 213, Longcheng Plaza in Harare from 7pm till late. Admission: Phase 1 $10, Phase Two $15 and Phase 3 $20. Tickets are limited.

Sulu Invades Sherwood Golf Club & Gokwe

Talented dendera kingpin Suluman Chimbetu will be sampling a few songs of his upcoming album tonight at Sherwood Golf Club from 8pm tonight. Admission $5.

Tomorrow he will be on the road for a lined up performance in Gokwe where Nice Time Nite Club officially opens to the public at Gwanika Business centre. DJs Limoluv, MC Black, Ninja and the Dancing Queens will be supporting. Admission: $5, VIP $10

Gospel Concert

Gospel music fans and followers camp at Mbare CCAP church this weekend where Voice of Mbare play host to a concert where The Unveiled and many other surprise groups will be performing live this Sunday from 2pm. Entry, adults $5 and kids $2.

Killer T In Bulawayo

Zim dancehall star Killer T will be performing live at Queens Sports Club this Saturday.

Selmor Warms Up Shisha Lounge

It will be an all black and red lipstick affair at Shisha Lounge this Saturday as talented songwriter and musician Selmor Mtukudzi performs live in The Backroom from 9pm. Admission: $5.

Doek & Slay @ The Odyssey

Phase two of the Doek & Slay edition is set to illuminate Kadoma’s Odyssey Hotel on Saturday with afro-pop contemporary Andy Muridzo sharing the stage with hip hop crooner Nyasha David alongside  the ladies man, Kae Chaps. Slay code will be hot pink, lime green, an orange doek and shades from 11am till late. Admission $15.

Trevor Dongo Dates Heather

Urban grooves and R n B sensation Trevor Dongo dates Heather live on stage at Club Rampage in Kempton Park, South Africa this Sunday. DJs Ovidy, Purple Skunk and MC Itso will be on the decks. Admission: R100, VIP R250.

Tindo Ngwazi @ Kulez Bar

Tindo Ngwazi invades downtown Harare tonight with a performance at Kulez Bar along Charter Road.

Black Label DJs Clash

Music lovers are in for a treat at Club Zone in Machipisa, Harare tonight where the National Champion DJs Clash. These will be regional qualifiers brought to you by Carling Black label.
