Treasury Moves Civil Service July Pay Dates

Civil servants will have to be patient as Treasury has shifted their initial July pay dates to allow a rerun of their payroll following adjustments to their remuneration, Nhau/Indaba has established.

This is according to a circular from Finance secretary George Guvamatanga to the Public Service Commission seen by Nhau/Indaba Thursday.

“As you maybe aware, government and workers met on the 7th of July 2023, as part of the ongoing negotiations to improve the remuneration of public servants and pensions.”

“Taking account of the agreement by workers to the tabled proposal signed on the 11th of July 2023 and the Cabinet directive of the same day, that the processing of the offer be implemented, Treasury proposes to shift pay dates to allow the payroll to be rerun as follows:Army, Air Force, Health, ZRP, ZPCS from July 14 to July 18 Education from July 17 to July 21,” it reads.

Dates for the rest of service and independent commissions remain unchanged on July 21 while pensions and grant aided institutions will be paid on July 25. Nhau/Indaba
